Hallo again,

Actually, the way I did it, it worked, except one thing: the header is missing, but the type is still visible, so I will erase the {&item.type} that is next to the {&item.title} and it will be OK!
It will be separated at least, even without the header "Job type".

Anyway, what is most important for me is the date and especially the time that the job was posted.
It's about translation jobs, so it's kind of important.
I would be happy if I could fix this.

And also another issue (not so important): the default list order when I choose a category is by title: "Listings currently sorted by: Title (Z to A)".
Is there a way of changing this to sorted by date (newest first)?
Note: in the module config. options the default job listing order (by date) is for the most recent job listings and not for the category listings.

Thanks again and I'm really sorry for any trouble that I might have caused.

Thanks

I was going to show that way instead of the way i did, but changed my mind because of room in the table.

I think you should wait a day or two for the next release RC3. After that would be better to make modifications, there are security updates in the RC3 release.

Hallo John and thank you for your answer...

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, what I would like to do is to add a separate column with the job type, in the table with the most recent job listings.

Example:
| Date | Title | Type | Company | Location | Viewed |

I modified the code in the jobs_adlist.html like this:

<{if $xoops_isadmin}><td class="head"></td><{/if}>
<td align="center" class="head"><{$last_head_date}></td>
<td class="head"><{$last_head_title}></td>
<td class="head"><{$last_head_type}></td>
<{if $show_company == true}><td class="head"><{$last_head_company}></td><{/if}>
<td class="head"><{$last_head_local}></td>
<td align="right" class="head"><{$last_head_views}></td>
</tr>
<{foreach item=item from=$items}>
<tr class="<{cycle values="odd,even"}>">
<{if $xoops_isadmin}><td><{$item.admin}></td><{/if}>
<td align="center"><{$item.date}></td>
<td><b><{$item.title}></b> <{$item.new}></td>
<td><{$item.type}></td>
<{if $show_company == true}><td><{$item.company}></td><{/if}>
<td><{$item.local}></td>
<td align="center"><{$item.views}></td>

But the column "Type" is still missing.
Everything is fine except the column.

I don't understand, you are saying that on the index page you do not see the job type(full time, part time), but when you click a category at the bottom you see the job type. I just looked at the code and I don't see how you see it in the category view either, but anyway,

go to the page index.php in the function "function index()" look for this line:

$a_item['company'] = $company;

after that line add this line:

$a_item['type'] = $type;

then go to the file templates/jobs_category.html around line 72 look for this line:

<td><b><{$item.title}></b> <{$item.new}></td>

change that line to this :

<td><b><{$item.title}></b> <{$item.new}><br /><{$item.type}></td>

You will need to update the module for the changes to be seen.

That will take care of your third issue, let me know how you make out and I will get the other changes for you.

These changes will be made in the next release.

Hallo John,

I must say, first, a big THANKS for this module.
It's just what I wanted. And It looks professional.
I have installed It on my site and I use It for translation, interpretation jobs.
I did some modifications, although my php knowledge is "zero".
Anyway, thanks again, because I just couldn't pay the amount professionals were asking for. The site is free to use, you know.
And I need your help for a few modifications.

First: I would like to add the time that the job was listed, next to the date (hh:mm)

Second: Is It possible to add instead of, or next to e.g. "location" field a short description for the job? I'm talking about the tables jobs are listed. I assume that this requires a separate field for short description when someone adds a job listing. Am I right?

Third: Kind of a bug -I believe-: the type of job (subject in my case e.g. law, commerce, transport, etc) don't show up at the table with the 10, 20 or 30 most recent job listings, next to the title. It can be seen only when I choose a category (my categories: translation, interpretation, proofreading, etc.). I tried to do some modifications, but I couldn't fix it.

I really need and appreciate your help.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Themis
