John,
This issue still persists with 2.0 RC1 at my host - no problem on local set up. When going to the classifieds admin page I get:

Quote:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

When I check in the server log, it reports:

Quote:
[Sat Nov 29 18:21:23 2008] [error] [client {my IP} ] Premature end of script headers: {my path at host}/modules/classifieds/admin/index.php

As in earlier post; switching admin GUI doesn't help and all files are 644. Test was done on completely fresh Xoops 2.3.1 with PM, UserProfiles and Protector modules as the only others installed. I tried again after uninstalling Protector but same result. Any ideas?

[... and I so liked the lightbox effect !]

All checked out as 644.
I have just stipped entire site back to core 2.3.1 with System and Protector as only modules installed. Then downloaded Classifieds 2.0 BETA2 from this site again, uploaded archive, expanded it on my host's server, and installed it. Hoping to elliminate any possible spurious cross effects anywhere.

But problem persists.

Further info: from the modules administration page and with Classifieds mini-memu opened on the left side (default gui) the only link that doesn't produce the error is Preferences. That brings up the Preferences page (which fails on saving) while the others fail straight away.

This doesn't ocurr on local setup (WinXP) and other modules don't show this problem on local or at the host.

Regards,

You may have a permission problem, all the 'files' in the classifieds module should be chmod to 644, check all the ones in the admin folder.

Let me know,

John

Tried other cp gui's (the exm is nice!) but similar result. In fact with exm it throws the error when I hit the classifieds icon, I don't even get to the preferences page.

The server error page comes after hitting GO! on the preferences page and after the page immediately following (the one with 'click here' if long time). So is there a redirect that is failing?

To replace the over written stuff ...
Server errors that might help:

Quote:
Premature end of script headers:
/mypath/public_html/modules/classifieds/admin/index.php

SoftException in Application.cpp:544: Directory "/mypath/public_html/modules/classifieds/admin" is writeable by group

File does not exist:
/mypath/public_html/modules/system/class/gui/default/css/en.css

Fresh install at host.
Server info:
XOOPS Version - XOOPS 2.3.1
PHP Version - 5.2.6
MySQL Version - 4.1.22-standard
Server API Version - cgi
OS Version - Linux

Other modules performing normally.

Don't get the problem on a local setup (below):
XOOPS Version - XOOPS 2.3.1
PHP Version - 5.2.5
MySQL Version - 4.1.22-community-nt
Server API Version - isapi
OS Version - WINNT

Try changing the control panel gui in the system>preferences>general settings.

Just to see if it goes away, try all of the choices.
