Sorry I gave you bad info. Guess I saw what I thought I should see. Nearly every field on the Modify page after LID is wrong.

Oops. Spoke too soon. On user and admin modify pages, Description and Requirements fields are now populated, but stuff at the bottom is still all mixed up. I cleared templates_c and my browser cache, but no help.

Good for the modify page, but what about resume categories? Seems that all categories show all resumes.

Keep on going, These are the fixes so far..

fixes for incorrect input display when editing a job listing

1. around line 90 in the modjob.php file find this line:

$result = $xoopsDB->query("select lid, cid, status, title, expire, type, company, desctext, requirements, tel,

change the order of "status, title" to 'title, status' so it looks like this:

$result = $xoopsDB->query("select lid, cid, title, status, expire, type, company, desctext, requirements, tel,

2. comment out lines 205 and 211 so they look like this:

line 205
// $desctext = "";

line 211
// $requirements = "";

that should do it

The more you find the better. Thanks

John

Resumes:

1. I entered a resume and clicked that I wanted to create one. It said that I would be directed to the create page, but I was not.

2. When I clicked on the "Medical" category to view resumes, there were resumes shown from other categories as well.

John, should I continue testing this module, or would you like to make some changes first?

On Admin - modify job listing page check out salary fields (also telephone and contact information). All mixed up:

Continuing to test. Here are a few things and thoughts to this point:

1. I really think that "Validate" should be changed to "Submit". In English they are not synonymous.

2. The first time a user with proper permission adds a listing, he is prompted to add a company and can add additional company users then. Is this the only time additional company users can be added?

Although this is really more of a feature request, I'm thinking that adding and editing companies and company users, should be a separate process.

3. Biggie - When you click to edit a job listing, the title, description, and requirement fields are blank, and the price type (and maybe the job type) fields are reset. So, you must completely re-enter them.

4. Job requirements should be displayed as input, like:

Requirement 1
Requirement 2
Requirement 3
Requirement 4
Requirement 5

and not all on one line, like:

Requirement 1 Requirement 2 Requirement 3 Requirement 4 Requirement 5

Keepin' on.

Jere

[edit]
I found the "modify company" page from the "view all listings of" page. The page title says "Modify You Company Information". It should, of course, be "Modify Your . . ."

Great feature.

I had forgotten to attach the resume and tried to upload a .doc file and got the error msg again. Tried it with a different resume with the same result.

So, now I have pix, but I can't upload a .doc file.

Jere

[edit] This is probably a file size issue. When I re-installed, I didn't up the resume file size. Consider it okay unless I post otherwise. Thanks.

I just cleared the templates_c folder and then chmoded the photo/thumbs and photo/midsize folders to 777 and tried again. Seems to be working okay. I even have photos. That templates_c folder does a lot of mischief.

Thanks. I'll continue testing. Like I said before, I think this module has a lot of potential.

O.K. this is what I just did.
On my test server, I uninstalled the jobs module, deleted it from the server. Then I added a newly downloaded version, installed it. CHMOD the directories logo_image and resumes to have write permissions, gave group permissions, Went to add a resume, No Problems. then I tried to add a photo again, found I needed to give write permissions on the folders photos photos/thumbs photos/midsize once I did that I had No Problems.

Maybe look in your templates_c folder and see if there are more than 1 of each of the jobs templates. Actually I will look in mine to make sure I only have 1 of each.

Let me know,

John
