I am working on something that doesn't give me much time to do this, but i was thinking, since it is only a single page why not just create it in html.
That way there are not even any database calls, you could add all your categories with links to it.
I will still do it in free time.

hi john,

this is perfect,

"And no listing can be added to a main category." This is no problem

my problem is, i have max. 2 sub-cat

example:

Auto,
--Cars
---Mercedes

I think this is what you want.
But you can only have 1 deep sub-categories and all Main Categories need to have at least 1 sub-cat. And no listing can be added to a main category.

Try rhis.

New addlisting link

Let me know if that is good for you.

Yes, see ALL categories on one page. Plus no third level categories, So no clicking on a category and if there is a subcat it will go to another page.
How will that look with as many categories as you want.

The way you are explaining (or I am understanding)

You would need every category and sub-category on one page.
why?
There is no way to add a listing to a category if it has a sub-category.

Hi John,

this is not direct replacement for the addlisting page?

this is a replacement for the addlisting button.

i will make a second index.php in the second index.php is listing all categorie names ( the name is is thought
"new.php or addlisting2.php" )

The Function:

the user clicks on a link from my website "Example Name from the link is: "AD CLASSIFIEDS" and then passes to the new page addlisting.php or new.php where he gets all listed categories.

the user enters with on click on the categoerie name and his open the addlisting function for make a new Classifieds this is my idea.

you understand my ?

Is this going to replace the index page?
If so I don't think this idea will work. If not tell me more of how you want it to work.
Or is this just a replacement for the addlisting page?
