This is what I would do.

Go to index.php around line 467 and look for this line:

$xoopsTpl->assign('photo', "<img src=\"grad_photo/$photo\" alt=\"$title\" />");

change it to something like this:

$xoopsTpl->assign('photo', "<a href=\"../$mydirname/grad_photo/$photo\">"._ALUM_VIEWPDF."</a>");

Then you would go to alumni/language/english/main.php and add the language constant used above _ALUM_VIEWPDF.

That might be all you need to do to show a link.

In the alumni module the fields for uploads are photo or photo2, you are probably using photo.

Let me know if that does it.

yes it's working.

for changing module name, i already figure it out by studying your documentation how to clone classified module.

by the way, how do i make the URL for uploaded doc or pdf visible just like in Resume? If I not mistaken, just put in smarty tag. For example. for resume is <{$resume}>

Erm but I don't know how to do with Alumni.

It is really easy. Just go to the alumni/addlisting.php page around line 254 and look for this line:

$allowed_mimetypes = array('image/gif', 'image/jpg', 'image/jpeg', 'image/pjpeg', 'image/x-png');

Change it to this:

$allowed_mimetypes = array('application/msword', 'application/pdf');

I just took that line from the jobs/addresume.php around line 243

That will allow users to add .doc and .pdf files.

And before you install that module you could change its name to reflect what you are going to do with it, but that needs to be done before you install it in the modules admin. So if you want to do it now you would need to uninstall it then rename it then install it again.

Hope this helps,

John

mesol,

You could try the alumni module, it is set to upload photos, but that could be changed.
If you have any questions about it just ask.

I'm looking for a module like Resume in Jobs module where user can input 3 - 5 info fields and attach a pdf file. Since Jobs module have another function Add Listing, is there any other module that only have like Resume function? I don't want to wipe out Add Listing function since Jobs still in RC.

For example SmartSection that allows file attachment in an article but it lacks of field. Only provide two fields for title and info/body of article.
