Thanks. That fixed it. I'll let you know what, if anything, else I find.

O.K. I decided that I had time now to look at this.

Go to index.php around lines 142 thru 159 and find these lines:

$subcategories = '';
foreach($arr as $ele){
if(in_array($ele['cid'], $categories)) {
$chtitle=$myts->htmlSpecialChars($ele['title']);
if ($chcount>$xoopsModuleConfig["".$mydirname."_nbsouscat"]) {
$subcategories .= ', ...';
break;
}
if ($space>0) {
$subcategories .= '<br />';
}
$subcategories .= "<a href=\"".XOOPS_URL."/modules/classifieds/index.php?pa=Adsview&cid=".$ele['cid']."\">".$chtitle."</a>";
$space++;
$chcount++;
$content .= $ele['title'].' ';
}
}

$xoopsTpl->append('categories', array('image' => $img, 'id' => $myrow['cid'], 'title' => $myts->htmlSpecialChars($myrow['title']), 'new' => categorynewgraphic($myrow['cid']), 'subcategories' => $subcategories, 'totallisting' => $totallisting, 'count' => $count));

CHANGE THEM TO THIS:

$subcategories = '';
if ($xoopsModuleConfig["".$mydirname."_souscat"] == 1) {
foreach($arr as $ele){
if(in_array($ele['cid'], $categories)) {
$chtitle=$myts->htmlSpecialChars($ele['title']);
if ($chcount>$xoopsModuleConfig["".$mydirname."_nbsouscat"]) {
$subcategories .= ', ...';
break;
}
if ($space>0) {
$subcategories .= '<br />';
}
$subcategories .= "<a href=\"".XOOPS_URL."/modules/classifieds/index.php?pa=Adsview&cid=".$ele['cid']."\">".$chtitle."</a>";
$space++;
$chcount++;
$content .= $ele['title'].' ';
}
}
}
$xoopsTpl->append('categories', array('image' => $img, 'id' => $myrow['cid'], 'title' => $myts->htmlSpecialChars($myrow['title']), 'new' => categorynewgraphic($myrow['cid']), 'subcategories' => $subcategories, 'totallisting' => $totallisting, 'count' => $count));

The changes are in green. Don't miss the bracket '}' towards the bottom.

Thanks,

John

I didn't read your post good enough the first time, sorry.

I must have broke the part that does not show sub-cats.

But at first I thought they were out of there cell as you put it, but they are not. They are below the main cat, right. All of them go under the automotive category. The problem there is that your theme must not follow the normal Xoops way. In your themes css files look for '.outer', it should have a border, but yours does not. If it had a border, the border would surround the main cat and the sub-cats, like on my site when you are logged in.

As far as the part I must have broke, I will find and fix it, and post the fix here when I can.

Thanks,

John

Okay, I re-uploaded both files, cleared templates_c, and cleared the browser cache. No change to the index page.

I didn't delete any files from the u/g package, so they should have been overwritten, but I'll do it again to be sure.

Sorry to say that you will probably need to overwrite the classifieds_index.html template. I made changes that affect the template. You may need to do the classifieds_category.html template too, but I can't remember.

I just u/g to 1.2 and have a problem on the index page. I have it set in prefs to not display sub-cats on the index page, but they are still showing up outside their respective cells. Here's a screen shot:

What do you suppose is causing this? Keep in mind that, in the previous version, I had made some minor changes--in templates mostly--and some of these files may not have been overwritten.
